About the Department

The Department of Sports is the college's most vibrant department with several milestone achievements of International and National level Medals. The college has a well-equipped Sports department/ Gymnasium. The Gymnasium is well equipped with all advanced sports facilities. The total area of the Gymnasium is 624 sq. mtr. There is a separate dressing room facility for male and female sports students. The experienced Sports Director imparts training for all types of games. The Gymnasium provides the facility of outdoor games like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Softball, Netball, Baseball, korfball, Wrestling, Rowing, Shooting, Fencing, and Cricket, and indoor games like Chess and Carrom. It has equipment for weightlifting, powerlifting, and weight training. The Department has collaborations and linkages with the Sports Association and arranges training sessions for different games through the linkages. The department facilitates the participation of students in Inter-Collegiate, Inter-University, All India Inter-University, Khelo India, Ashwamedh National and International levels Sports competitions. The college also avails the participation of physically challenged students in sports. The victories of the sports students are commemorated and appreciated through the publication of the Calendar.
