GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE
INTRODUCTION:
For the year 2022-23, the college has
constituted the Grievance Redressal committee.
Aim of this committee is to redress the
grievances and complaints of the students.
Students are motivated to use suggestion box.
Students may approach the member of the
committee to lodge their grievances and
suggestions if any. This committee will
empower the students to discuss their problems
without any hesitance and maintain healthy
relation between college authority and
students.
OBJECTIVES:
-
Motivating the students to express their
problems / grievance freely and without any
fear of being victimized.

To make college staff approachable and
polite in dealing with the students.
-
To set up efficient and responsive mechanism
to address the students grievance and
maintain educational atmosphere in the
college campus.

To provide effective solution to the
students grievance without any bias.
-
To maintain pleasant and friendly relation
among students and student-teacher.
-
Directing all staff members to be open
minded when approaching with the students.
FUNCTION OF COMMITTEE:
-
The registered complaints with all the
documents will be consider promptly and act
upon them.
-
The main role of the committee is to look
into the grievances/ complaints lodged by
any student and give the judgments.
-
For any genuine grievances students can
approach to the committee in person, or
through the class in charge.
-
In case the students is reluctant to
approach personally, they may dropped in
writing at the suggestion box of the
grievance cell at administrative block.

Students also feel free to send their
grievances through e-mail to the
[email protected]
-
Committee will report to the authority about
number of pending cases and attended cases,
if any, which requires invention of higher
authority.

Committee will make sure that the grievance
has been correctly addressed in a specified
time limits.
COMPOSITION
The Principal constitutes the composition of
the Grievance Redressal Committee for tenures
of one academic year.
Committee members will be selected from
teaching and non-teaching staff members.

Internal Complaint Committee
To implement the UGC Act for Prevention,
Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment
of Women employees and students in higher
educational institutions Regulations, 2015,
the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) is
established in M. S. G. Arts, Science and
Commerce College Malegaon Camp. The committee
forms to give the protection against the
Sexual Harassment of Women employee and
students in the campus place. The committee
shall work under the guidance & directions
of the Apex Committee of the Management

Objectives of the cell
-
To hand out the issues of gender-based
violence.
-
To promote awareness about sexual harassment
through various educational initiatives that
encourages and fosters a respectful and safe
campus environment.
-
To provide information regarding
counselling, redressal cell functioning and
support services on our campus.
-
To conduct regular meetings and organisation
of different functions regarding the
awareness about women rights.
-
To provide and ensure platform for
accepting a complaints &
ensure the resolution of grievance with
confidential and supportive environment.
Procedure to File/Report a Complaint
-
The complainant will have to submit a
written and signed complaint addressed to
the Chairperson of the Cell.
-
Complaint/suggestion box is made available
in the college campus.
-
The letters dropped in the box are collected
once a week.
-
Within a week from the submission of the
written complaint, the cell will call the
complainant for a personal meeting.
-
The members of the Cell will discuss the
complaint.
-
The complainant will be informed about the
same by the appropriate authority if in case
complaint will fall out of the scope of the
cell.
-
If the case comes under the province of the
Cell, an enquiry committee will be set up.
The Committee will submit a report and
recommend the nature of action to be taken
at the earliest by the appropriate authorit

Minority Cell
Minority cell of College was established in
with the purpose of empowering the minority
the College. “Every student has Communities in
a right of education “by following the fact
our institutes is very much keen to provide
services. To the educational and cultural
needs of Minority Community along with other
Cast, Creed and Nationality. The Minority cell
basically helps minority students including
Christian, Muslims Jains, and Buddhists etc.
for their academic development.
Objectives:

To enhance equal opportunities for
educational of minorities.

To facilitate financial support to students
from minority Communities from governmental
agencies and other sources.

To aware the minority students regarding
various scholarship programs of State
Government & UGC.

To take such follow up measures for
achieving the Objectives and targets laid
down for the purpose by the Government of
India and the UGC.

To ensure provisions for an environment,
where all Such Students feel safe and
secure.

To encourage enrolling for career
orientation. Programs, which would empower
and equip them with the necessary skills to
choose a career options.

To provide prompt counseling for any
emotional emergencies arising on account of
any event at the Campus.

To ensure protection and reservation as
provided in the constitution of India.
The Nature of Activities of the Cell
To collect reports and information of state
Government and UGC's orders on various aspects
of education, employment of minority students.
To circulate State Government and UGC's
decisions about different scholarship
programs.
To Communicate with the students and motivate
them for better future planning. The cell is
committed to provide assistance to the
minority students through counseling,
Personality development, development of
Communication skill and matter of conduct of
coaching and other measures with a view to -
see that the education system succeeds in
bringing to a level quantitatively
qualitatively in distinguishable from the
level of the rest of the society.

The OBC Cell has been established to ensure due compliance of the orders of
reservation
policies of the Govt. The purpose of the cell is empowering the OBC communities in the

Functions
-
To circulate the orders and other circulars issued by the University/ Government of
India and UGC (University Grant Commission) and to collect regularly, on an annual
basis, information regarding course-wise admission of candidates belonging to the
Other Backward Classes in the University in prescribed form within the stipulated
date, and to take follow-up action, wherever required.

To circulate the orders and other circulars issued by Government of India and
University Grants Commission’s decisions in respect of appointment and promotion
for teaching and non-teaching posts in the University in suitable forms by a
stipulated date and take follow up action wherever required.
-
To collect reports, orders and information issued by Government of India and the
UGC on the various aspects of Education, Training and Employment of other
Backward Classes candidates for evolving new Policies or modifying existing
policies.
-
To analyses information so collected and prepare reports and digests for onward
transaction to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India,
University Grant Commission and such other authorities as may be required.

To monitor the working of the remedial Coaching Scheme in the University for OBC
students, including Minorities students.

To co-ordinate through university with Govt. (State & Central), UGC and such
other
organizations to get Scholarship/freeship/other financial benefits for OBC &
minority
students.

To deal with representations received from Other Backward Classes (OBC) and
Minorities Candidates regarding their admission, Scholarships, Recruitment,
Promotion and other similar matters in the University.

To maintain a database of candidates belonging to OBC

Any other works assigned by the University from time to promote higher education
among OBC students and staff.

The OBC Cell will exclusively look after the work related to the OBC.

SC/ST Cell
Introduction
Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad College of Arts,
Science and Commerce College, Malegaon has a
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Cell which
strives to bring the Scheduled Caste and
Scheduled Tribe students on par with students
from other communities. In India, both
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are
known as backward sections of society, so
efforts are being made to strengthen these two
sections socially, economically, and
educationally and to bring them on par with
the rest of the students by providing them
with financial. Also, special efforts are made
to provide information about all the branches
to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe
students and guide them in choosing the right
branch and also encourage them in their
personal development..
Mission
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Cell
helps to achieve the motto ‘Bahujan Hitay and
Bahujan Sukhay’ of Maharaja Sahajirao Gaikwad
College to empower the students of Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes academically and
improve their social and educational status.

Functions
